●Technological process:
1)The early stage and aging treatment-3 axis process
First of all, we need to do the rough machining for the front and back of the blank material through 3-axis machining to control flatness deformation and achieve natural deformation. After that, we need to level the naturally deformed surface and finish the front. This processing process normally will take about 4 hours.


2)The fine machining to finished parts-5 axis process
After 3 axis machining, the parts will be fine machining process through 5 axis machining to be finished product, during this process, which will take about 4.5 hours. Generally, it will take about 9 hours to produce a sample, but in batch production, we will optimize the tool path to shorten the processing time by 2 hours, that is, which will take about 7 hours to complete the parts in mass production

• Technological process:
 
We generally use aluminum alloy or high-strength steel to make the engine cover gearbox according to the customer's requirements. First, we analyze the processing technology according to the drawings provided by the customer. For the raw materials, we carry out early aging treatment - positive rough machining to control deformation. Later, we set the parameter cutter path in the five axis processing to achieve finishing to the finished product. In the mass production, we will optimize the cutter path, shorten the processing time, and produce more efficiently.
 
 
01 What is 5 Axis MachinIng?
 
This type of machining relies on a tool moving in five different directions around which the tool rotates. It is a multi-axis subtractive manufacturing process in which the machine shapes the workpiece material and moves in 5 directions or vertically.

The directions of movement include; X, Y, and Z, as well as A and B. 5-axis machining allows operators to approach part machining from all directions and axis in a single operation. Therefore, eliminating the need for manual workpiece repositioning between operations. Also, it saves time and is ideal for creating highly complex parts requiring precision
 
The 5 in 5-axis means that asides from the conventional 3 axes, X, Y, and Z, machines used for 5-axis machining add two more axes making it a total of 5 axes. The 4th axis is the A axis which denotes a rotation around the X axis, while the 5th axis is the B axis, denoting a rotation around the Y axis.

A 5-axis machine allows us to work on every surface, apart from the clamping area and the bottom. When working on contoured parts or parts that require machining on several faces, we need several setups of the 3-axis machine to achieve the complex geometry through manual rotating; but 5-axis technology completes the job in a single setup, reducing the number of setups and helping us save time.

1-Can Holy Precision make design drawings for me?
Yes, we provide design services. You can send us samples, we will check and measure the sizes and then finish the drawings for production.

2-What type of design files does Holy Precision accept for quoting?
In order to provide an accurate and timely quote, we only accept 3D CAD files in STEP or IGES format. 2D drawings with reference dimensions must be in PDF format. We must receive complete manufacturing information as part of this technical documentation.

3-How long does a quotation take?
In most cases, we respond within 24 hours of receiving an RFQ. If the quote is delayed, we will notify you as soon as possible.

4-How do I know my design will be kept confidential?
We of course will sign and adhere to any non-disclosure or confidentiality agreement. We also have a strict policy within our factory that no photographs are ever allowed of a customer’s product without express permission. Ultimately we rely on our reputation of working with hundreds of thousands of unique designs over many years and never allowing any proprietary information to be disclosed to a third party.

5-How quickly can I get my parts?

There is not a given set of tolerances that fits all processes and materials. In every case, the final tolerances on your part will depend on a number of factors, including but not limited to:

Once your order is confirmed, we will review your design and provide a design for manufacturing review, pointing out any areas where we may not be able to achieve your desired tolerances. Surface finishing is the umbrella term for the many processes used to modify the surface appearance and texture of a manufactured product, and convey the desired feel and look to the part. Generally, a part may be finished to improve appearance introduce customization, and convey specific characteristics.

As you known, the most common surface finishes are used to improve abrasion-resistance, increase oxide layers, improve hardness, conductivity, adherence, and corrosion-resistance. The texture of a part may also be modified to make it smoother, grittier, or engrave or etch details into its surface.
